ReLaXinG aT d SpA

The other day when I was cleaning our room, I got surprised when I found an envelop in my closet from The Spa. It was a gift to us when we got married and it is expiring next week so I told my Hubby that we need to go there asap... Massage is one of our addiction and I wouldn't let that GC expire just like that...hihi... It was our first time to go to The Spa Trinoma, and like any other branches the place is clean and the ambiance itself is relaxing. The GC is for a deluxe massage we just added P500 for an executive massage in a couple's room. Since it's a weekday, we were the only customer that they're attending to. We got an excellent service and a total relaxation that we really enjoyed. Too bad I can't take pictures.

After our nice massage, we had a food trip at the all time favorite steak resto. We also tried a crepe from a new store in Trinoma for dessert. The crepe was big and delicious. We are supposed to buy 1 crepe only but when my Hubby taste it he loves it and told me to just buy another one... takaw!

It was indeed a one fine afternoon to indulge ourselves with our addiction....a massage and a good food.

GrEeNPeAcE - No To BaTaaN NuCLeAr PoWeR PlaNt

I have always been a silent member of this Organization and I've been wanting to participate on the activities they are organizing. Last Sunday Greenpeace members assembled at UP Diliman Sunken Garden to express their stand against the use of dangerous nuclear power in Bataan. Volunteers formed a human banner to show message of solidarity. I have grabbed a picture here from Greenpeace site about the BNPP assembly last Sunday.

"Around 800 volunteers from Greenpeace and the Network Opposed to BNPP (Bataan Nuclear Power Plant) form a giant ‘human banner’ spelling “No to BNPP” in a campus in Quezon City, as a message of solidarity opposing a House bill to revive the mothballed nuclear plant. Greenpeace is calling on Congress representatives not to support the proposal and to withdraw their signatures from the bill which would effectively lock Filipinos into dependence on the world’s most unsafe and most expensive source of electricity."

so sad they don't have it in youtube.com I don't know how to embed this video from Flicker.

JoiN GrEeNpEaCe AsiA

GREENPEACE began with a small group of individuals who decided to get together to protest against nuclear testing at Amchitka, off the west coast of Alaska. They went on to form GREENPEACE and later initiated campaigns on major environmental issues. One of the founding principles of GREENPEACE is to "bear witness" - that is to watch and record environmental destruction. This principle of direct action together with peaceful confrontation, has been the cornerstone of GREENPEACE's campaigns.

Southeast Asia is of enormous significance to the future of the planet earth. The rich natural heritage of the region is worth protecting in its own right. However, the staggeringly rapid industrialization and economic growth of the past 30 years has come at a huge environmental cost. The environmental impacts of the region also stretch beyond their own national boundaries. Severe environmental degradation already exists across Southeast Asia. Apart from the recent Asian financial crisis, pollution and resources destruction are further intensifying as multinational companies and industrialized nations target the region for the expansion of their environmentally destructive operations and technologies. Reinforcing these problems is the lack of awareness among the Asian public about environmental destruction and weak democratic mechanisms to empower communities to influence decisions. Recognizing the importance of the developmental potential and threats in these areas, and in order to consolidate and expand its campaign work in Southeast Asia, Greenpeace is increasing its activities in the region.

Here's the youtube video to show what is GreenPeace for.

Greenpeace is already active in many part of Asia. Our work in the region has included stopping hazardous waste imports, opposing radioactive shipments, campaigning against forest destruction, lobbying governments on sustainable energy issues and drawing attention to the dangers of waste incinerations. Often working with other local groups, Greenpeace has run successful campaigns in the Philippines, Taiwan, India, and Indonesia. We made a commitment to develop a presence in Asia in late 80s and early 90s, and first established an office in Japan (1989) and then China (1997). Initial investigations were also initiated in SEA, focusing primarily on Indonesia and Philippines.

Southeast Asia is in a key position to determine global environmental security. Over the past 30 years, Greenpeace has successfully campaigned in industrialized countries to reduce and eliminate environmental pollution and degradation. However, these efforts and many achievements can easily be reversed as these same multinational companies export dirty technologies resulting in environmental degradation in the region. Hence, after many years of investigations and establishing campaign presence in key countries, Greenpeace finally succeeded in opening an office in the region. Greenpeace Southeast Asia was formally established on March 1, 2000.

StAnD uP aNd Be CouNteD!

Be one of hundreds who will make a difference this Sunday.

Lawmakers in the Philippines are recently going all out to promote nuclear power.

Recently they have proposed a House Bill to revive the 'mothballed' Bataan Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP).

Nuclear power is the most dangerous and most expensive source of electricity. And it is not the solution to climate change.

That's why we would like you to join us in saying NO TO BNPP.

As a valued Greenpeace supporter, we're inviting you to come along this Sunday and help us create a "human banner" as a symbol of solidarity with the people of Bataan.

Where: Sunken Garden of the University of the Philippines in Diliman

When: 8am this Sunday, February 22, 2009

We will use this image and your support to send a strong message to our lawmakers: "NO TO BNPP".

If you would like to be part of this activity, please confirm your attendance by Thursday, by calling Supporter Services at (02)4146512 local 102, 103, 104. You can also reply to this email together with the names of your friends or family who can attend.

Hope to see you there!

PoST VaLeNTiNeS DaTe

and this is the continuation of our Valentine's Celebration... =)

We went to Serendra today to have a date...wahahaha!!! it's our post Valentine's date and we're looking for a place to eat. Somewhere that will satisfy our big tummy. We saw Brazil Churassco, I've been there once and I'm sure that my Hubby will enjoy the food there coz it's buffet. =)

This resto is basicaly a buffet restaurant serving barbeque or what they call churassco in Brazil. There's a table in the middle where you can get the buffet. The buffet serves continental food, pasta, salad and desserts. The only thing in the menu are beverages. There's also a system on how to get the bbq. The staff will give you a yoyo with a green and red side. If you turn it to green then they will serve you a non stop BBQ. Those bbq's are fresh from the grill with skewers on it and is directly taken out on the customers plate. As far as I remember the bbq selections are beef brisket, beef hanging tender, pork something =), lamb leg, chicken sausage, cheesy sausage and some sausage that I forgot the name, cattle fish, grilled saging na saba, grilled pineapple and corn. Wew! that was awesome, we didn't notice that we're getting full until we turn the Yoyo to red. The staffs are fast, they serve the grilled food as if it's your last supper. My Hubby really enjoyed the food there coz I know it's his type of food. Then we're finished and they gave us a gift coz it's Valentine's. The gift is something like a rose bud tea and I don't know yet if it is used as a tea to drink or just an ornament. At first glance I thought it was a potpourri.

After that sumptuous meal we decided to stroll around Bonifacio High Street to see what else to do. I took that opportunity to take some pictures around.

This is the Yoyo we used to tell the staff that "we want more! we want more!"

These bikes caught my attention coz they're so colorful and girlish, I can imagine young girls biking in a village talking about their crushes with matching Kilig.
